What is AEO ?
The AEO concept is based on the Customs-to-Business partnership introduced by the World Customs Organisation (WCO).
It’s work in close cooperation with customs authorities to assure the common objective of supply chain security are entitled to enjoy benefits throughout the EU.
This implies that there must always be a relationship between customs and the applicant/AEO.
This relationship must be based on the principles of mutual transparency, correctness, fairness and responsibility.
AEO Benefits
The advantages brought by the status are numerous. Beyond the facilities granted by the legislation on the customs level, the certification process has been structuring for our company.
It allowed us to evaluate and then control our customs processes.
Our organization has been optimized by taking into account customs and logistics functions, better communication between employees and the implementation or improvement of our readability and internal control tools.
FULL AEO Certification
With this AEO-F (full) certification, we now join the list of 937 French companies (customs source 2021) certified with the status of Authorized Economic Operator.
This status is issued to companies established within the European Union (EU) that carry out activities related to international trade. The AEO certifies the quality of the customs and security processes implemented by these companies.
AEO-F certification (full): includes AEO-C (customs procedures), obtained in April 2022, and AEO-S (safety/security) obtained in March 2024.
In order to meet the requirements of the second part of the OAS, we had to put in place measures to secure our site (surveillance cameras, access to the premises by badge, etc.).
And thus guarantee the security of our freight.
