The 100% adhesive solution: applied expertise
Our design office has worked extensively on this innovative subject, both technically and in terms of regulations. We needed to find a solution that combines practicality and safety to meet the markets and needs of tomorrow.
The 100% adhesive solution offered by SCOPEMA is designed for van and camper van conversion professionals:
- Simplified implementation: The adhesive is applied directly to the cleaned and degreased painted floor, with no need for prior paint stripping or sanding. Ideal for electric vehicles.
- Freedom of layout: No constraints on placement or rail length, nor on the system or floor thickness, regardless of the vehicle’s length.
The converter will even have the possibility to adjust the exact placement of the bench at the last moment, a detail that, as we know, can make all the difference.
After numerous tests conducted by our technical teams at our Testing Center, it has been a true success!
We are sharing with you a photo of the successful pull test of our bench on rails fixed by adhesive to a vehicle floor, as well as the pull test diagram that demonstrates its resistance to stress.
A result that exceeds our expectations and regulatory requirements, with 25 seconds of cumulative pull time (only 0.2 seconds are required to meet European standards, and 10 seconds for North American standards), ending with a load 5% higher than that required by regulations for 3-seater benches!

A solution geared towards the future!
The 100% adhesive solution is an innovation in several ways. It allows compatibility with electric vehicles regardless of the location within the vehicle. There are indeed specific requirements for electric vans and campers: for some, it is strictly prohibited to drill into the floor, while for others, it is only allowed at the rear of the floor.
To facilitate installation and ensure consistent quality, a fastening procedure will be defined. The goal is to have a common procedure for all vehicles requiring approval, whether electric or combustion engine, and regardless of the rail length or location within the vehicle.
